Hello everyone. I work for an offset printing company in Portland Oregon and we purchased some used stitcher equipment and are looking for a manual for one of the older machines.

I'm looking for an Operators Manual for an old Acme-Morrison Book Stitcher model N3A- 3/4.

If anyone could help, it would be truly appreciated.

You can do a search for it on eBay to see what it looks like.

Thank you. ;)

Manual Found!

Thank you Devery for sending me the manual we were looking for.

The stitcher is so old we thought we may never find a manual for it, but while he was looking to solve his own stitcher problem he saw my post and helped solve ours.

And thank you Color Printer Forum for having a place where people can help each other.

;)

  • My acme- Morrison stitcher is giving me fits, not unlike every other stitcher I have encountered, but I just started this job and not a single person here can find the manual. It would be very much appreciated if someone could forward me a copy of theirs.......please! frankiefleetfoot@gmail.com

NEEDED: Copy of Operators Manual for Acme-Morrison Book Stitcher model N3A- 3/4

Hi, like others posting here, I am expected to keep an older N3A - 3/4 Stitcher in good working order, and I could REALLY use a scan of the Operator's Manual.

Please help if you have a copy! Thanks so much. Rick

    looking for the same manual

Seems the foot pedal needs adjusting on this unit, if you turn it on it just staples, unless you pull the foot pedal up. but no manual, so no idea how to do it. any help would be appreciated. my e-mail is "richardthelh@yahoo.com"

    Emailing manual to you.

Here is Ron's email from when he sent the manual pdf to me. See the bold passage -- could be issue with clutch:

"No problem Rick, glad to help out someone else in need and pay it forward as it was sent to me by some kind soul from this forum. Good to be able to find this stuff for these old dinosaurs still in service! These are really well built machines made to last, seems like the most common problem with it is the clutch assembly gumming up with grease, just need to take apart, clean , lube, and re-assemble most times. Best of luck to you, Just an FYI, there are still places out there to get parts from what we’ve seen, if you have any questions, I work with a gut who has the info on a service company if needed as well. Good luck with your machine!

    Changing from 20-25 wire to 19-21.5 on Acme-Morrison N3A-3/4"

Hi, We recently purchased an old Acme-Morrison N3A-3/4" that came set up with 20-25 wire. We need to use it with its larger spec'd wire, 19-21.5.

My question is -- Do I need to change any parts or settings when I change wire size? Ron (RSARDINE) sent me the Operating Manual pdf but I don't see any info about changing from one wire size to another.

On the first page of the manual though is a spot to write down the Wire Size (along with Model, Serial No., and Stitch Width) which led me to think that I may need to change out parts/head for different wire size -- or that this machine may not be compatible with larger wire.

I welcome any feedback! Thank you in advance.

If anyone can help me with a copy of the manual or would be able to tell me what the different levers and settings should be, I would be greatly appreciative.

    Thanks,

I created an user guide for this stitcher to assure that each person setup the machine in a similar way. Maybe this will help someone. 3 Page Document:
