Not recogning majenta on Hp designjet z2100

I’m looking at purchasing a Hp designjet z2100 for dirt cheap. The guy said the only thing wrong with it is it doesn’t recognize majenta and he contacted HP who told him it needed a new hard drive. Anyone else have this issue and/or can tell me if this could be my issue?
