Hi everyone.

I would like to ask for some help. My brother-in-law had an accident and passed away. He had bought this printer "canon imagerunner advance 8285 pro".

The printer turns out to be a black and white only printer.

My sister doesnt want to sell it but start a business (continue my brother inlaws' dreams), but it's a black and white printer. What can she do with this and is there ideas like contracts to go for?

Thank you in advance for your input, kind regards

So sorry to hear about your brother-in-law.

Honestly it's a tough business and you have to think about what she can offer that customers can't get from existing printers who have more equipment, more staff, and more volume who get better prices on paper and supplies. Is there existing copy shop competition where she's at?

The other thing is that it takes more than a printer to produce most things - you need finishing equipment, probably at least one color machine, etc. etc.
