I want to start up a high volume newspaper business but I haven't got a clue all that it takes. I'm creating a business plan. I like this type press setup since it's mostly automated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_RNynfrjzE What type of press is best for creating a paper like the LA Times. What model should I purchase? Whats the overall cost? Anything on the net that would lead me to all the different costs? Thanks

I will be very clear and open with you - DREAMS are good , but loosing lot's of money is not....

Doing it right involves alot of money , X0000000000's , and the press is only the smaller part in it all.

If you are not a newspaper PRO , do not get any closer from this question of yours....

Still after loosing money ?
Well , i will be happy to help you buy the right stuff to build your operation as long as you agree to remember the above and never come to me with any complaints

  • I'm not in it for profit. So I can't be disappointed. Just need to have the correct equipment, software, supplies, personal, logistics ect.... Costs are important so that I can let my investors know all the costs. I also need to know the size and type of building, Electrical Design Requirements, basically who and what it takes to install the equipment. I'm needing at total cost the different phases until it's up and running and time. The equipment needs to be top of the line when it comes to volume that's why I posted the automated Rima Demo. Part of my sales pitch is about the volume and how fast I can produce what is needed. Thanks..

    My Friend.
Planing a newspaper shop & the attached operation is not a small task you can "ask for advise" on.
It's a real workout and i fail to believe you will get anything worth a nicle if you do not pay for it.
Any advise you can get here will be very very basic , and very bad to work on with your calculations.

    Want real advise ?

Question do you have a 150 million to get this up and running and at least 50 million in sale to open your doors. Good luck with that one. Dream big or go home. Sad to so the world has been losing interest in printed material. And high volume these days are flyers or mass national mailers and even them it's a tough sale.

    Good luck

Equipment cost too much, and you also need t hire more experience workers... why not to print with a printing company?

machine cost to much and you also need to hire many expierenced workers... why don't you print with a printing company?

Maybe outsourcing the certain part of your activities would be the best way to approach this? Even if it is just for the short-term while starting up your company.
