New to DI Business

We did import a Heidelberg QMDI 46-4 from Germany to North of Iraq and got surprised that Heidelberg ME can't support us with any Engineer or training for the machine therefore I do desperately need your support to know.

1. how can we transfer the image from our PC to the Printer?
2. Is the Plate Washable? how and with what?
3. how many time can the Plate be used after washing?

    • I can assure you this is not a machine you want to try and figure out on your own without the support of a knowledgable person.
    While it is regretful Heidelberg is not able to support you for reasons unbeknownst to me (I am an employee of Heidelberg North America only), there are plenty of areas you can get assistance from. I urge you to pursue this route in order for you to become profitable as quickly as possible.

    Whatever the reasons of Heidelbergs refusal are, it´s not inscrutable. But in fact it´s important that you do some exercises with a pro. Why don´t you go for few days to Dubai Training center for training? It´s easier and cheaper than an instructor on site. May be Presstek could help you if you buy their plates.

    I'm in Dubai since 7 weeks and did visit Heidelberg ME more than one time, unfortunately they have (ZERO) information about QM- DI printing and no related Material, I could order through them some spare parts from Germany and finally today I could get Dry Ink after I contacted Presstek UK and they forwarded me to the ME distributer in Dubai! So, maybe Heidelberg is giving a good support to the DI System in the US but, this is not the case in the ME!? duo to them there are NO machines with DI in the region except 2-3 QMDI's in KSA and I have one in Iraq now. I know that I need a training and therefore I'll contact the members which did offer me that as soon I go back to Iraq next week.

    How can we get a good used qmid?

    We are interested in getting a used QMID. We want to know I we can get a good one and the cost
