    Hello,

New to the forum and pretty new to color & UV printing. As the title states I have a Mimaki UJF-6042 MKII and we are having issues with white blowout. Meaning lots of extra white appearing around the graphic.

My sales rep tells me that it is static, but we are doing everything imaginable to combat static. I have a humidifier running, wave a static wand over the object, and rub it down with alcohol.

I have also repeatedly checked my head height to ensure that it is correct.

I'm pretty frustrated at this point, as I keep ruining product and have to push back deadlines. And my sales reps/techs keep telling me the same things without providing any solutions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jase

    Hey there—

I know this is an ancient post, but I also experience this issue badly in the winter with colder air coming in and heat running. You have to almost create a clean room. Seal it off from other rooms and outside air if possible. I use the humidifiers, also wipe materials with alcohol and run the machine, lid slightly cracked open, with a fan driven ionizer blowing over the materials during printing. I run a heavy cleaning cycle from time to time in between high volume acrylic runs. Seem to get by with this method.

We run 2, UJF-6042MkIIe units and 1 large, JFX200-2513. They all band 0ccasionally with weather changes. Doesn't seem to matter how much you baby them, adjust them or clean them.

    Thanks, Andy
