We’re having trouble changing the infeed sheet size. The motor keeps stopping even after being replaced. We have auto reset the guide. It wouldn’t move back to the set size.

Positioning 8 trouble. Which servo motor is that?

could that PU 1 drive be affecting it? Thx for the answers.

Did you check driver board of that motor and sensor? It is side lays motor? Is autocalibration done with hand terminal?

Yes we have done both. We swapped boards A351 slots 5 and 8. Same error. Where is the side lays motor located?

Can you run it with hand terminal or he does not want to move only when you do new format?

It doesn’t wanna move on hand held either. Only moves about an eigth of an inch then stops.

we think it’s the sensor for max sheet size because we put a metal plate in front of both minimum and maximum size sensors and only the minimum size sensor reacted.

Change motor with some other on machine and try it. Maybe you have mechanical problem... Move belt and check motor
How did you autocalibrate motor if you can not move it with terminal?

Hand terminal can check end sensors.
Check the engine. It should be 2x 3-5 ohms

as Mr. Druckman said check the motor, if it is good then you need to give addresses for the motors.

His motors are not adressed, it is EA1 pos motor, driven by board(adress is in eprom). Run it without load, then run autocalibration and end it on sensor by hand, cover it with metal. If everything is OK then asemble motor to side guide and again run it with terminal, on terminal you can see motor torqe and max torqe. If torqe is max then board stop the motor because overcurrent...

we have done everything mentioned above. We have used 2 different motors same result. We took the belt off to see if there was resistance on the mechanism. Same results. We’ve checked the end sensors. Covered them with metal and only the small size end sensor was reacting. No reaction from the max size end sensor. We ordered a new sensor and go from there.
