Hi sir;
After you change the oil, you must Bleed !!!!!!!the hydraulic system from Air.

Must be sure, the oil is complete where the Oil indicator indicate, see the operator manual.

Otherwise, you will have problem, like you have now, please do it.

  • Hi I have a problem with a polar 80 eco like polar 66. The blade comes down very slowly. Is there a way to speed it up? I've not see one run this slow. Any help is much appreciated

    Hi sir;

    Please look carefully;

    1) If the hydraulic system has a leak of oil????????

    2) if do not have good.

    3) if has a leak, the hydraulic system has AIR in the system, by that reason you have knife comes down slowly, Repair.

    4) or look for low level Hydraulic Oil, refill and bleed the system very well.

    Yes we noticed yesterday someone before us left the bleeder 12 mm bolt slightly loose with yellow rubber cover and every cut was dripping 1 or 2 drips so I tightened it up. Should be bled pretty good? Would that bleed system when left slightly opposed? Checking oil level next.

    Thanks again for your help in this matter!!
    I found out the hydraulic problem.
    Turns out it was the solenoid that controls the secondary power. We took the solenoid apart and found the round steel ball that that's supposed to seat properly was not!! There is a round plastic piece with little legs around this steel ball was worn and to sloppy. My local tech has seen this a few times over the years. You can buy these parts from Bindery Tech in Ohio.
    Hope this helps others having a similar problem!! Dave@qpequipment.com
