    Hi Everyone,

We recently got an old Muller Martini Presto Saddle Stitcher. The operator we have isn't used to the machine and is having trouble setting the caliper for thickness. I have shared a screenshot of a video in which the green presto has a green light and sensor attached to it which indicates that the caliper setting is complete. In our machine, the sensor and the green light is missing. Is that normal? Once when we did manage to set the thickness for a job there was a message for "Calibration complete" but when we started to run the job the stitcher was not working.

    Any guidance would be helpful.

What Type of Presto do you have? What serial number, what Year?
What You have is not like in the operating manual nor like in the video screenshot. You Have a newer Version. There is an oscillator and a ferite coil that goes out more or less relative to the thickness of the magazine.

You shoud have a calibration tool and menu, for zero and 6mm otherwise I beleive you can make it with 6mm Hex Key as a calibre.
After that you can work with the thicknes caliper.
