10-4121 is that heat roller undertemp? doesn't show up in diagnostic.

tech is here... so maybe this will be informational only. but any hints that might speed him up would be fantastic.

was a rush job last night, and was unable to finish in time, deadline missed :(

Ive been down since thursday night. I got new rollers, but they failed to send the lamps. then today I get them... and see attachment. they shipped them in their individual boxes. wtf? both snapped. aka "new and improved articulating heat lamp" LOL

    both of them that way.......

tech tested lamps while in the roller... actually tested ok, only ordered them out of precaution.

but, strangely, though testing ok, pulled the upper one out, it was FULLY black. so just waiting.

Hey guys, Just resurrecting this thread.

I was experiencing fuser temp issues yesterday ... So logged in as PSP >> and went to component control and opened up 10B then exited.
It fixed the problem to the point that afternoon shift ran all night.

I came in the morning. Machine was in power saving mode. I clicked warm up. The iGen flicked tripped the fuser switch. Both above the 10B section and on our main wall. Really weird!

I turned them back on and did the shutdown/restart voodoo dance.

I got error code XPE-10-4121 "Press fault place service call"
I kept resetting it in PSP login. No avail.

Then i read here that it was a fuser lamp.... so i pulled out the pressure roller... it was fine.
Then pulled out the grey heat roller (top) ... it was fine.
.... Pulled our the bottom grey roller.... the lamps looked really old and had residue all over them... (black powder) and the glass fuse point had subtle markings so I replaced both the lamps (the one with the blue and red connectors. (They are separate lamps).

Boot it all up. Bingo! fixed! Saved myself a tech call. Thanks guys.

    Here's a pic for reference

I can conclude by adding that replacing these lamps fixed my creasing problem on anything less than 128GSM.

Ran 90gsm gloss through it like a dream, no creasing. Couldn't do it before (and for a long while).
