Minimum and Maximum GSM for SM-52

Can anyone let me know what is the minimum and maximum gsm that can be printed on SM-52.

The Specification says thickness 0.03mm-0.4mm.

Is SM-52 suitable for commercial printing and how about the print quality on Boards such as Textured boards, art boards & One Side White Duplex Boards.

Here is the specification for SM 52 and recommendation for Stock

Max sheet 370520 mm

Min. sheet 105145 mm

Max. image area 360520 mm

Print–free margin 8 – 10 mm

Stock Light–weight paper up to
0.4 mm Not more

Hi sir,
SM52 is suitable for commercial printing and cardboard as well.
And there are SM52 machines with an option that you can print up to 0.60mm, because it contains a variable diameter U1 transfer cylinder.
But you have to note that transfer cylinder jackets are expensive and very sensitive so they need too much care.

I might be stating the obvious here but if you want to run thick stock on a regular basis at good speeds a larger press with double size impression cylinders is highly recommended. The larger cylinders reduce the need to bend the stock so much.
These presses normally have the initials CD in thier name, which I believe stands for Carton Design eg SM74CD
Any senior members please correct me if this is not the case.
