    Hi!

We recently purchased an MGI meteor 8700xl press. Unfortunately, local support has been terrible and almost non-existent. We have already sent multiple emails through MGI website but there has been zero reply from them.

We are having problems with colors coming out of the machine. There cyan and magenta are too strong. Skin tones are very reddish and look sunburnt. Printing black and white images are also a problem as the colors appear very greenish.

It is not a file preparation problem because we ran the same files using our HP Indigo and the colors are perfect.

Hoping to find the solution to our problems here in the forum.

I hate to ask an obvious question, but have you already tried calibrating it with a spectrophotometer on the media you're printing the job on? Then making sure to use that profile when printing? And you're probably not getting much support because the product line has been discontinued by MGI. Konica Minolta (KM) bought a major share in MGI and now sells/supports their products, but they too have discontinued the Meteor product line. Since the Meteor's are just a KM C7000 or C1070 engine inside of MGI branding, you may be able to get support from a local KM dealer.
