    Hi

I have a man Roland 200 with RED light

I thinks is could be side sensor or front sensors

all sensors are clean but cannot clear the fault.

    can anyone help

We managed to clear the fault
    Now have another

we can inch and crawl the press however the RED T light comes on when we try and run the press

the motor tacho does have a voltage reading 3.4 vdc when on crawl

When we press run no power is sent to the motor and the RED light shows

does anyone know what the red light is for

    - Tacho ?
    - Encoder ?
    - other ?

    Thank you.

Can someone explain why the issue might be related to the tachometer, even though I fully agree with the diagnosis? The system can inch and crawl, but when I press run, it does not move.

What specific information or signals is the tachometer looking for that allow it to inch but prevent it from running?

The problem is when the tacho is defective it can read the angle clearly with a low speed but when the speed is high it can not read the motor rotation

Older machines have the option of running tacho or rotor (armature) voltage. The connection diagram can be found on the last page of the electric documentation of the machine. It is done with a small screwdriver. 3 bridges must change places.
I'll take a picture of it for you tomorrow.

I have found wiring diagram showing bridges (A) with techno (Regulation with tachometer generator)

    50 & 51 Bridge
    54 & 55 Bridge
    wire X13 ( No 4 ) & X14 (No1) remains

I have read and it looks like you then change to ( Armature voltage regulation ) Bridges (B)

    51 & 52 Bridge
    53 & 54 Bridge
    wire change X13 ( No 4 ) & X13 ( No 5)

when tested I still have the same fault . With Techo part connected or disconnected. I might need to turn the speed potentiometer down ?, but I am unsure if this is true and if it is true where is the speed pot is located on the board.

Hi If anyone can please confirm bridge links are correct and if anything else is needed to allow the press to run via armature voltage instead of tacho

    thanks
