Hi, we have R510 perfecting 5/5 and we have located source for the encoder error of perfector (tolerance gets over the possible +7/-7 steps) to the pneumatic clutch located at main shaft. The clutch slips very very little because of emergency stops etc. Clutch is tested by manroland technician. It would be easy to change the clutch, but as usual original part from MR is astronomically expensive. Repairing of clutch is quite general procedure in the industry. Does anybody has experience of this kind overhaul procedure? (or if somebody can give alternative suggestion for new/used part replacing the clutch). Clutch is most likely plate clutch and opened during format change with pressure air.

I've done it. You won't like the machine's downtime. If you can't find anyone to repair it in the area, buy from Roland (with assembly included). You can't assemble it yourself.
