Hi,

I have recently given my machine a deep clean, put all back together. I first had error codes relating to the IBT sensors - so i have a new IBT belt on its way. I have taken another look at the sensor and noticed the silver casing was out of place. Once popped back in the codes dissapeared and everything seems normal...

until i went to print something... there is practically no toner getting to the paper? i am attaching an image to show you what i mean, this is all cmyk in 100% 75% and 25% gradients... can anyone explain what the problem might be?

Any help would be very appreciated.

Many thanks,
Colin

I cant seem to attach the picture, so i have included a link

  • I am suspecting that the problem is with the 2nd BTR as it is responsible for attracting toner from the IBT Belt to the paper.
Try one more test if possible.
Print the same artwork and when the paper is fed, time the print and when paper reaches the IBT right before it reaches fusing, Open the door cover.
Its safe! I have done it before.
Pull the IBT out as you did previously and look at the underside. Post that image if possible. That way we can determine whether the toner is fully transferring to the paper or if there is toner remaining on the belt. That would be the best way to confirm if to is a 2nd BTR.

    Hi

Its the 2nd BTR probably the white wire on the rear of the 2nd BTR. Its either not connected or has a break in it.

    I hope this helps.
