Looking for rip for qmdi press

Any rip that can produce 1 bit tiff at 1270 dpi uncompressed can be used. I have created a conversion util to convert to DI format and also producing InkeyFiles. It's for free.

I have the Heidelberg MetaRIP running on an IBM PC. It was purchased when Heidelberg sold us a DI with the old Harlequin RIP which was incapable of processing PDFs. The MetaRIP is fully compatible with Adobe Creative Suite output and we use it for processing either InDesign files or PDFs. My press is down and I don't plan to spend the $10K Heidelberg wants for the motor control circuit board - so make me an offer on the RIP. It cost $11K when I purchased it. You can email me at mark@bankingforms.com. I'm also willing to sell individual parts off of the press, let me know what you're looking for. Thanks.

  • Marc Bremer could i get a copy of the DI conversion tool and ink key utility. I have a newer harlequin rip and it is a hassle to reprocess the one bit tiff files through our old rip to get them to print on the DI. Thanks so much.

Marc... in the delta software exit tree diferrent way to RIP de file, you can print from PDF (So is bad idea, because something you need do calibration color and the spot color is too diferente from de file or docu) for any software how acrobate reader or imagge setter... Another is print directly to machine from any software and modifieq the color spot and balance from the propierty in the printer (have many trouble with the pantone color) and for last way, my prefier, is from a PS (PostScript file) maked from the software at design and put in the folder from de RIP (You can do this configurate the Delta control, in printmanager and put the input from folder, and in the propierty put only separation color in RIP) this get a exactly color macth and spot color... i do this for since time, and the color is good, more close to 95% to de color from de file, is so close that i never move the color balance and ink key in the press, all is 100% automated from the PC and RIP... is you wanna ia can send you sample, because i try in two time put a photo and picture, but i can see the file in this foroum, so ... if you need it write me to heidelberg_qmdi@tech-center.com
