Looking for a Laser Printer

Hey everyone new to the forum,

I was wondering if I can get some advice on finding a new laser printer, I'm looking for preferably a "Canon" brand laser printer that is capable of printing on "Card stock paper" 8 1/2 x 11 110 lb either on an outside feeder or front feeder. I understand that majority of printers can do this job, but after awhile I can't stand buying new ink since majority of my projects on card stock paper only needs black ink -- On the long run, I will only be using this laser printer for school and will only need to print with black ink.

- my price range is about $200-$300, but less would be great

Thank You

I do not have any canon printers to suggest, however, given the size and weight of your card stock paper, you might want to check out the OKI C711 series printers. It is said to handle card stock and banners of up to 52 inches in length.

Its single pass technology and straight through paper path is said to handle media of up to 140lb index. (way more than your 110 lb requirement)

It also supports printing of up to 34 ppm in color, 36 ppm in monochrome.

The printer is a bit costly however, starting at $999. However, you might want to check it out for yourself and see if it meets your needs.
