Konica C550 Text Ghosting

We have a Konica C550 copier and occasionally it will ghost the text. By this I mean the colors that make up the text will be split vertically, creating a ghosting effect. It happened again today; the text at the top of the page was split completely and it slowly got closer together as it went down the page until the last line where it finally merged. This doesn't happen often. Restarting the copier always solves the issue. This happens with both print and copy jobs.

Interestingly, this has happened to two different models of copiers that we have had in the same location.

I'm stumped, does anybody have any ideas?

 

I had same problem.

For me the only thing that helped was to run on 100g paper instead of 80paper.
I only had the problem with 80g A4R duplex though.
I tryed replacing fuser and transferbelt, that did not help.
