Kompac Oscillating Roller not oscillating

Hi,

We have a 2-color Heidelberg GTO 46 with a Kompac III water dampening unit.

The oscillating roller on the Kompac unit isn't oscillating. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?

I'm not familiar with Kompac units but is the oscillator gear driven? If not it may have an internal worm gear like the oscillators on small offset presses. If so, the dutchman in the worm gear could be worn or jammed.

 

the oscillator works from contact to the plate roller. pull the unit out and turn it over. u will see the adjustments very clearly. your oscillator may be worn or the bearing stuffed. u will soon work it out. good luck
