Hello i am having trouble with dampening of Kompac.
Form and oscillator roller are in a bad shape -glazed and worn out-.
Took out cartridge and gave it a good clean but problems persist -smudge outer corners and have to open metering roller which leads to overdampening-.
Boss will change rollers for new ones -rebuilt rollers- but how do you regulate stripes and cartridge.

Did you use a cleaner meant for de-calcification?
How's your fountain solution Ph and conductivity?

The strip requires the pressman/operator to adjust manually
Simply replacing the rollers won't adjust the stripe. You need to adjust so the stripe line meets the press spec for thickness

Thank you for your swift answer. Sadly i cant measure conductivity ph is 4.7. Age of rollers is...unknown. As far as i read through the net there is not a set stripe on plate -just to bounce mildly- although for oscillator roller close to 3-4 mm on water form.

There is no oscillator to form setting because it’s spring loaded. The form to plate is set with eccentrics on the side of the unit and should be around 4mm, depending on hardness of form roller. If that equates to a soft bounce then I guess that works.

Anyone know the diameter of rollers? -form and oscillator?-
