Were just trying to switch to Kimoto poly plates and we get a 1000 impressions and lose the image, I've checked all setting and they seem right. We have a Compac water unit.

Never heard of Kimoto poly plates? Is this a alternate material to the Presstek "megalith" poly plate?

No, it is platemaker, CTP from Kimoto. It makes poly plates but unlike laser printer or inkjet ctp, it images using thermal transfer head, remember first plain paper fax machines? they used ribon of film to produce print on regular paper. About the same idea, imaging head moves like inkjet printer head does and thermal head creates image trough the ribbon which looks like type-writer ribbon. Plates look similar to Xante plates at least to the eye.
