KBA 162a printing press Ink Rollers not Dropping

Hi sir:
Hope you are well with Covid-19
you must see if you machine has console control(ergonotronic).

2) If have depend of serial machine has : 1) drive motor for inking roller or 2) mechanicaal.

3) if is controled by mechanical, you must see if some parts has worn, or lack of LUBE, or disajustment in the system of roller.

4) of course you must see if the power supply for control of ink roller has working good in the console control, since this control the PLC, because normally this press has PLC, and you must test if the output of PLC is arriving to the Motor driven in the unit(s) look for your schematic diagram.

5) the coupling unit ink rooler has Pneumatic system-electrical in some cases, look for leaking in the system , or faulty electro valve .

Let me know.

Blessing

  • Thank you Sir for the reply and steps.
Our press is 2001 KBA 162a
The rollers drop sometimes and other times not, but is still ducting ink rollers.
The ink rollers should come on automatic when in impression
We have checked for roller settings, air leaks, worn parts etc

Can you please send pictures and solutions that we can apply?

    Thank you and Stay Safe
    Blessings

    Hi sir:

I recommend test the position spindle pressure for rollers to the plate cylinder( clockwise increase the pressure, counter-clockwise decrease).

Of course, check the electro-Pneumatic for to drive the complete mechanism for Rollers drive, if is working, or some trouble with the electronic, or Pneumatic leaking( valve, hose, or pipe, O-ring)

look, for lack of Lube, loose, abnormal to corroded.

    Blessing.
