Hello everyone,

We’re having an issue with our IST UV drying system on a Heidelberg XL75.
The error 048# Selective limit switch (position eop) appears during printing and causes the press to stop.
After waiting 3–4 minutes, we can restart the machine normally without any intervention.

We’ve already checked the lamps and all visible connections — everything seems fine.

Has anyone experienced this issue before or knows what could trigger this alarm? Any advice or checks to perform would be appreciated.

Hello,
Can you send more details about UV cabinet? A photo from the name plate is very helpful. And also machine's serial number

  • As you must understand, any device or equipment, the, CPU, RESET, SOME TIM, OTHERS YOU MUST TO DO IT.

However, you must do it, BUT, you must sure, the Vcc of CPU, the Regulated power Supply, must be in tolerance 0.7% up or down, or see if if input voltage is fluctuating much, cause overheating, and damage the Regulated Power Supply , with effect in CPU. By Other side see if the Clock of CPU in MHZ, is o.k in tolerance,.

    Let me know, sincerely.

Selective limit switch (position EOP) indicates that the UV cassette position feedback signal the End Of Position or EOP switch is not matching the expected state.
The system expects a confirmation that the UV module has reached its end position but it doesn’t get it or it gets it too late or intermittently

The mechanical position switch or sensor on the UV cassette track or actuator is either dirty, misaligned, or internally worn.
Heat and dust buildup can cause intermittent contact, explaining why it works again after a few minutes.

Check also the the plug at the UV cassette, near the EOP limit switch and in the UV control cabinet
Slight vibration can cause intermittent contacts.
    Good luck
