Issue with Heidelberg Suprasetter A74 Imagesetter

Hello All,

I am a newbie to Heidelberg so any help is greatly appreciated!

I am having an issue with the Heidelberg Prinect MetaDimension Printmanger unable to connect to the Suprasetter A74 imagesetter.

In the Heidelberg Prinect MetaDimension Printmanger Device List (screenshots), the Suprasetter_74 is showing the error message “Imagesetter not operable”.

The current physical connections between the Heidelberg Prinect MetaDimension Printmanger computer to the Suprasetter A74 are as followed:

• Computer Speedway port (straight-through CAT 7) connect to the Suprasetter A74 on X300 port
• Computer com cable on com1 connect to the Suprasetter A74 on X302 port

Can you provide feedback if the physical connections are not correct or some other settings that may cause this connection issue to the imagesetter?

Any advice you can provide is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance...

 

Had a similar problem and it turned out, that the cover under the feeder is shaky -like 1mm jog- and pops error open cover fault -and ctp wasnt even turned on-. It could be something else though

you have to check follwoing
1) in GUI (CTP user interface ) are you able to make test plate ??
2) check PAGEBUFF disk ( is it there or not)

I am able to punch holes on a plate via CTP, so this is something specific to the Speedway connection?

 

Also, there is PAGEBUFF disk with available disk space.

we can check the thing on remote( team viewer) if you want but it is chargeable and if no hardware fault then rectifie the problem
