  • wow any pressman could give some review here?

Yes, its self balancing water. My understanding was that Heidelberg licenced the technology for the PrintMaster - correct me if I am wrong.

We've used on AB Dick 360's and Heidelberg GTO 46 . Payback in time frame specified would be based on a press running a 8 hour shift.

A possible issue is powder accumulation in the kompact on repeat passes through.

I also had a Crestline on a AB Dick.

The Kompact worked better for us, I give it my vote.

I've been running Kompacs since they first came out. Currently run a pair on a Ryobi 3302 that have been great. I use a 320 grade powder and haven't had any issues on multiple pass work with dryup or contamination. The teflon side seals are the weak point here and they seal the roller ends to be somewhat water tight. Burned in correctly the seals are fine for the most part but will drip when they become worn out and need to be replaced. Normal daily production I change the seals every 2 months. Seals are $20 a pair. They have a inward nip so putting fingers or anything close to them while running is a no no. I had one operator years ago try to clean one with a rag while running and it ripped the skin right off his fingertip to the first knuckle. So some common safety knowledge is key here. Depending on the press application some have a cover that go over the rollers. Others have a gravity fed hose from the bottle that leave the rollers exposed. But should be covered up with the presse safety cover in place. Once dialed in they are pretty consistant and don't require much fussing. Over all and very simple no brainer system.
