ink fountain leaks

on my 2004 D3000 6/c I have a leak on the operator side ink fountain. by the middle of the week there is ink dripping on the ends of the rollers. any suggestions

 

I've found that fountain leaks on the ends bring on fountain leaks on the ends. Alls it takes is a very small amount of a buildup of leaked ink to be the base for more and more ink to adhere to. A spotless clean fountain will help keep the ends from building up. If your anal about the fountain washup you will be less likely to get a buildup. Also should be noted that Mitsu fountains do not do well if not cleaned out at least every 2 days. Loading up fountain in the beginning of work week and just adding ink as needed throughout the week will not work well for you.
