Increase the rotation speed of the machine

Is there a way to increase the rotation speed of the machine when the printing plate is mounted on the printing cylinder?

Also, how to increase the speed of the machine, consider that the speed of the machine does not exceed 6,000 sheets per hour.

Do you mean the inching speed???

 

I'm quite sure that there is adjustable length of moving after each press of the button.
It's somewhere in that fuses compartment just right next to the floor, but I don't remember this that good to tell you which exactly it is Just open that compartment and try to find out, or wait till someone who knows it for sure will give you an answer.

Ok. So as I've mentioned there is possibility of adjust jogging length. I mean how far wil cylinder go after press the button.
In this case it's the first one from right side, but it may look different and been in different places at different models. But definitely GTO's have it.

 

It's safer to leave speed as is take a good look at your fingers,once gone they don't come back

That's 2 colour machine. I've checked 4 colour as well and it has this adjustment too.
It's really weird that yours doesn't.
Have you check that other machine?

In my long experience for over 49 years as electrical/electronic engineer, NEVER Saw, any industrial machines to increase Speed, in INCHING mode. !!

Remember this is calculated for us as design engineering, in order to Safe the machine, and the operator of machine, from any Damage, and accidents..!!!!!!!!


In conclusion, Heidelberg, and any contructor and designer Engineer, take in consideration this particular issue, since they have in consideration international demand like, ISO 9000, etc around the world....!!!!

 

This is not increasing speed, but lenght of the jog. And most of machines have it.

 

My two cents as a retired Heidelberg mechanic, I think later model GTO machines with programmable DC drives do not have the inching timers that are being referred to in this thread.
