Image setter in the pressroom?

I'm considering moving the image setter into the pressroom, and having the press crews image their own plates. I know when Creo first came on the scene this is what they recommended. I would like to know how many of you are doing this and who still is doing this in pre press?

All oimaging systems need clean air to run well , otherwise the dust on the optics will kill your production.
If you print on paper and not on dust free plastics.....dont do this.
The cost you will pay in down time and bad plates are not worth it.
Allso , make sure the presses & prepress systems are NPT on the same elect' circuts as this will harm them too.
