Igen stacker

I have an IGen 5, i'm running an 11 x 26 sheet on 60lb uncoated offset and after between 75-100 sheets the stacker gets stuck, as if it is having trouble with static. Is there anything that can be done to knock this sheet down and in position?

There is a static eliminator just before the entrance to the VGT belts. It a square aluminum bar. Give the underside a wipe to clean it. If that isn't helping it you need to try and improve the paper condition. What is the environment reading?

You need to bring your humidity up to approx 50% for best results

    30 percent humidity, 72 degree.

LOL thats in my shocking wheelhouse.

try messing with paper settings. raise/lower transfer voltage.... changing delivery from face up to face down....

i put a wet towel in the drawer and stacker of mine a few times. hung static "tinsel" from the VGT so the paper glides over it, to help dissipate the charge.

    nothing really works consistently.

haha. there was a time, our company tried to be cheap on a job and run VERY thin 18# paper through our continuous OCE's. In December. longest week ever. so much static. there was a constant visible arc to the unwinder roller, and the sheeter was almost useless. had cookie trays full of water and wet rags. and... fabric sheets hanging from guides to get through that.

it was a HUGE pain. but man oh man...did it ever smell fresh.

    LOL

Thanks all for your help. Mark was correct, the static eliminator was not working, it was installed right at the beginning of the year and was not plugged in completely. This has seemed to fix the matter so far! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
