    Hi
I run an iGen 5 - 150 with Fiery RIP.
I'm running 300 sets of SRA3 single sided.
Each set comprises 190 sheets and 1 sheet coloured separator.
At the end of each set the machine cycles down and waits for approximately 30 seconds before cycling up and carrying on.
The media attributes are identical for the job sheet and the coloured sheet so I guess it's not fuser temperature.
There is no message in the Active Status List.
    Any suggestions would appreciated.

Did you check for any Fiery software updates online?

Yep. We're all up to date.
I've tried "insert blank sheet" and "insert blank page" in imposition with the same result.
Also tried to insert the coloured slip sheet in "finishing" - "slip sheet" but with the same result.
    Thanks for replying.

Are you running to the stacker or top tray?

no fiery here... but im curious, is your top sheet a much different size? Iv'e had this issue on many xerox printers. if the size is in a different frame rate, it has to stop and re-time itself, then stop and go back. actually, not just xerox either...

Job sheet and slip sheet both 200 gsm silk. Only difference is the slip sheet is blue.

If they are both the same physical size there should be no cycle time inbetween feeds. I would contact your support analyst and see if he/she has an answer. Sorry I couldn't help more.

We had the same issue with iGen 4. I tried all the options mentioned to no avail. I found it ultimately easier to just offset in the stacker and add the slip sheets after.

    Hi Nick

It has been a while since I touched an iGen and I left before the iGen5 was launched. I seem to recall that this was an issue elsewhere with a Fiery. Instead of running as a slip sheet place the separator in as a blank cover. You could try it on the fiery or actually create the pdf with it in. If there are no pixels on the sheet you shouldn't get a click charge - 1 pixel of any colour will count as a click. May be worth giving Welwyn a ring on the software support side and log it as a possible bug

    Good luck :)

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Please keep them coming and in the meantime I'll get on to the software guys.
