Hi, I'm trying to troubleshoot why my clamp and blade will not come down on my 5260 guillotine. I have replaced both pcb boards behind the paddles as suspected this may be the cause but to no avail. I just noticed one of the 4 safety relays (K13) is not in sync with the other three and is always the opposite way. Anyone know if this is how it should be or maybe the possible fault? Any other suggestions welcome please.

    Hi sir:

I strong recommend you, that first:

    1) test the overload cutting motor protection: f1+f2 , if there OPEN both, and reset both, if there are o.k

    2) do the following test quickly

    3) with eraser pencil, push the following contactors: k1+ k1/1 for the Knife down contactor, see if the KNIFE is coming down.

    4) with the eraser pencil, push the following contactors: k3, Clamp down contactor,

If in both case the Knife and Clamp is coming down, the F1+F2 was open, and proceed with the schematic diagrams from his machine.

And try to realize the normal procedure of the machine.

If after you press the Switchs: s1+s2+ s3+ s4 the knife and clamp is NOT coming down, you must test the various contacts of contactor if the contactor K1+ K1/1 is coming closed +k5 +k6 is closed, IF NOT you must troubleshooting the contacts of various contactor and Safety Relay are ok, with the winding and contacts. Replace it or repair, or broken wires, loose, or corroded, or oxide.

Many thanks, I have narrowed the problem down to a faulty contactor. I appreciate your guidance.
