Good friends. I'm reviewing a 76SD-P polar guillotine that was unused for over a year. This equipment was also moved twice before being reinstalled again.

When it was turned on again the equipment did not respond to the keyboard, it did not lower the clamp with the pedal or with the buttons. The backgauge was very close to the clamp and when trying to move it manually with the front knob, it made a small forward movement and stuck with the clamp, from that moment it does not respond any manual or keyboard command and in a few seconds after ignition a front contactor is triggered that I presume is the one that protects the engine from the backgauge.

I have two concerns with this team. First, is there any special locking procedure that is performed when moving this equipment from one location to another? Either by program or manually, with a lever or screw, to avoid any movement of parts. And that procedure was not unlocked before turning on the equipment and that is why it did not respond to the controls.

Second, is there a procedure to be able to unlock the brake on the backgauge screw, that allows me to move it manually? This way you could separate the backgauge from the clamp and turn the equipment back on to assess if it is still unresponsive. From that point I would have to evaluate voltages and swichers at the end of the race, to look for some explanation.

I am very grateful for your explanations and help in getting this equipment up and running.
    Alexander Sanchez.

    Hi
Does it show any numbers on seven segments? Can you send a photo from the electronic modules inside the electric cabinet?

    Thank you for your interest.
I have these photos, but the equipment was not yet connected, so you don't see any LED lights on. It looks quite original. In one of the photos is the white contactor that is triggered for protection. My main interest is to be able to separate the backgauge from the clamp manually, and then reevaluate the operation of the equipment.

You will know of some procedure for this purpose, momentarily deactivate the backgauge brake so that you can move it manually.

    Thanks a lot.

Connect it to power and then send photos.

The direction of rotation of the machine is wrong the flywheel on the side must rotate clockwise.
This is probably why the backgauge hit the press bar.
and the hydraulic pump does not work and the press beam does not go down.
you will first need to loosen the backgauge by removing the drive belts from the engine to the spindle at the back and turn the saddle back.

Thank you very much for your feedback.
Today I was checking the equipment and took a few more photos. I didn't turn on the equipment, because I think the cards will light up like a Christmas tree, since visually I know that backgauge is blocked with the clamp. I'm going to perform the procedure of removing the belts from the rear motor to release the screw and move the backgauge manually. After this procedure is performed, I will reassemble the straps and turn on the equipment, I hope that by itself it can perform its adjustment process. Any additional recommendations, after reassembling the straps and before turning it on?

I'm curious to know about the use of blue color swicher limiter (photo I include), since the front metal cap has a grimace over that swicher, and doesn't activate it.

Again, thank you for your feedback and help.

You will first need to change the direction of rotation of the voltage so that the flywheel on the side turns clockwise.
The blue switch is for the false clamp plate and is operated by the false cover plate, when the cover is on the machine and the plate is removed it must lie on this switch so that the backgauze can move further forward.
but wouldn't it be better to get a cutting machine technician to help you with the machine because I have the feeling that you didn't understand much of it

    Thank you for the answers.
I have already worked with semi-industrial guillotines such as the challenger, ideal and other Chinese guillotines. I have also serviced polar 115 equipment that does not have the original control systems, replaced by contactor or PLC systems. At this time I have been contacted to review polar equipment of models 92E, 115 CE, 66 and this 76 SDP, which have the original factory controls. It has been difficult for me to get manuals for these equipment and some swichers that do specific functions that without a manual it is difficult to determine their use. With this 76 SDP, I will first follow the advice to release the screw so that I can move the backgauge manually.
At the moment I will not touch the direction of rotation of the engine because I was informed that the equipment was working well the last time they turned it off and visually it is not seen that anyone has touched it.
From the time the backgauge is halfway through the bed and I turn it back on, I will be able to evaluate the situation well.
At the moment I think I can evaluate and possibly solve the problem presented by the guillotine. In any case, there is always the possibility of contacting a specialist technician later, if things get very complicated. I will report again how the tests turned out.
Thank you very much for the help.

On 20/03 I will perform the procedure of disassembling the straps and moving the backgauge manually. But will anyone have a backgauge system parts manual, from the manual control panel on the front of the guillotine to the rear engine? I need not only to disassemble the engine belts, but also to solve the front sprocket of the manual control that is with the teeth swept away. That sprocket is not the original, and I will try to turn it over to make it make contact, but a document that shows the parts that make up that system would help me a lot.
