I need an external RIP for an HP Designjet 5000 UV wide format printer
I know that an external RIP is required.
I think that Onyx makes one.
Any advice?

Yes Onix makes it and also Fiery does, even wasach does them, let me know wich one you want i can help you get it.
 
    • Onyx does 3 flavours of RIP.

    Production House - wonderful but horribly expensive
    Poster Shop - middle range

    RIP Center - more limited but cheap, GBP 570 in the UK, and this is what I shall probably buy. I had the old Ilford Studio RIP which was written by Onyx and basically the same. It was great to use but no updates were issued after the disagreement between Ilford and Onyx. Alas, a new printer means a new RIP.
