    Hello everyone!

Seems I have an issue with x2 HP 5000PS printer that are printing a purple or lavender color instead of deep blue or just true blue (0,0,255) I have tried a multitude of settings and even did updates on both printers. I print mostly on backlit, but have tried different media like poster paper and changed media types on the printer. We print on an older MAC running OSX and has been printing blue fine for many years. I even went onto a PC running XP, went into Paint and made a blue box and printed that only to find it printing purple there also, with and without color correction on. I printed also a Pallete Demo and see purple blocks and a purple block where blue is suppose to be telling me I don’t think its related to the computers sending the data. I tried changing a few settings in the internal RIP but no luck there. Anyone know of this issue?

Printer Setup -> Internal RIP Settings
    Start Printing: Optimized
    Ink Emulation
    RGB: sRGB
    CMYK: Native
    Color Calibration: On
    Black Replacement: On
    Enhanced Resolution: Off
    PS Scale: 100%
    Code REV (Firmware): A.02.18
    PS Code rev: 9.02.08R
    HP-GL/2 Settings
    0-15 all 0.35mm Factory

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

I have a full set of #83 OEM new in box, I also have #81 HP cyan, black, yellow and magenta, plus a full set of elite brand remanufactured #81 all unopened, new in box. If you want a great deal on these Steve let me know. I have no use for them.

    (edit: no longer selling)

when the RGB (screen/light colors) values you've set are translated to CMYK
the color would come out as purple/lavender.
you might want to try finding a close value in CMYK or Pantone color.
