Hp indigo variable data printing

Can anyone explain in some detail the steps needed to take to print variable data on the HP Indigo press?

If I understand your question here are the steps
1. Get some Variable software (GMC, VIP, XMPie, PageFlex to name a few)
2. Get some data and images
3. Build the files and send a PPML file or PDF (if record soze is small)
4. Print

I know this is really vague but if you need more information let me know. Been doing this type of printing for over 15 years
