Just curios. I checked the spec sheet for HP indigo 5000 and 7000 series Imaging Oil and saw that it contains the same components. Is it safe to use imaging oil meant for the 7000 series press on a 5000 series?

Also, is the HP indigo imaging oil one and the same as Isopar L petroleum hydrocarbon?

We have both type of presses (5000s and 7200 web) but the oils are being kept separate. There is apparently some slight difference in chemistry which allows the 7000 series oil to be recycled in the press so less oil is used and there is less oil waste coming out. I know a trainer from HP told us we can clean the tanks in the same imaging oil, but that is as fare as we can go.
