Hello Experts

I just installed a used HP indigo 7800 with low impression, trying to run it on my own with no experience in these machines!
Well, so far all good except the Yellow (station 4), whenever trying to print a solid full page I am getting an error message
"BID squeegee voltage problem", and strips of yellow as shown in the picture.

Density is 1.6 and conductivity is 90
Ran all diagnostic for this station.

Replaced the BID, still same problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers!

  • I changed the whole BID.
    BID roller also changed

Don't throw away the bid base you just changed
first clean that bid base and put the base in CYAN then print CYAN see if the outcome normal
if its normal then don't focus on base roller etc
you must have shut down and restart the machine already
the problem still exist after restart ?
If base confirm no problem then I will try to switch BDU in the back
    if still
do you have another ink tank board I will try another board to see the reading conductivity
the last thing I will do is to remake the color
its not a big problem but you need to try one by one to solve it

Hello, The actual BID installed in the press is new, right?

btw, Currently I don't think it is a BID problem, let us know this:
Did you rebuild your ink? if so, did you use a calibration cartridge?
Did you perform ink flow calibration? A low ink flow may cause a similar quality problem like that
Make sure your ink tank pump it is really working and there is no obstruction inside the ink pipes to bid
Some times the PUMP DRIVER falls from position, so ink won't mix properly.
And last, if everything above is ok, you may try swapping the BDU to another color for a diagnostic, if the problem changes to then other color position, the your problem is the BDU.
Also it exists the possibility your bid is not engaging properly, you should open your engine front door, and look if the bid is engaging and disengaging like the other colors do.

That is what comes to my mind, let me know if you solve it.
