Did you clean the infeed sensor? I had some similar problems and turned out i had to take out sensor and clean it with a rag cause of IO fumes.

Have you tried to exchange between stop stations or replace with a new one? I had this issue last year and fortunately I had a new stop station. But yeah first you need to be sure the input sensor is clean. Oh and also.. I don't know if the 5000 uses this, but in the 5600 there is a plastic coupling in the Input Feed Roller that with time it just breaks and causes input jams similar to these.
