HP 5500PS issues

    Want to buy this 5500ps but need help diagnosing the problem.

    Don't know if this would be cheap or expensive to fix. Could be something simple like the cleaning pad on the cleaning station being gummed up full and allowing ink buildup or fuzz to accumulate on the print head. Could be the print head though.

    I get something similar on leading edge of a print on my epson 11880 when paper is at the end of the roll and/or too sturdy and tends to curl up too much.
    If you printer has a paper hold vacuum - try to increase the setting and/or make sure that paper itself is nice and even - not bubbled up. I'd say it could be from few different things, what mentioned above or something is wrong causing ink to drip - defective cartridges or whatever than might be causing printer to squeeze too much ink out. Start with loading perfectly flat media, if helps than it is media problem - too thick or uneven or settings do not correspond to it, if doesn't prep your wallet...
