I'd like to try calibrating our Heidelberg QMDI. Our rip is the MetaDimenstion 7.5.1. We have an X-Rite DTP-32 densitometer that I'd like to use to calibrate it. The software is supposed to sync with this densitometer. What it seems like I'd need to do is print a sheet of test strips on the DI, than run it thru the DTP-32. However, I can't find the test sheet for this (or any) densitometer in the rip. Is it in there somewhere? Can I download a pdf online somewhere?
If this doesn't work, could I just create a PDF file with varying screens in CMYK rip/print it on the DI, and manually measure them with a densitometer and enter the values into the calibration screen?
Any help/tips regarding calibration or even rip settings to optimize the DI's performance would be greatly appreciated. I can't find much simple information.
