How can I use AI in the printing industry?

I used in the past to find me a solution concerning dampening problems but to little avail.
But recently i sought advice for a spot color.

Our ink manufacturer made me P7436 but it turned more purple than my Pantone guidebook. So i measured Lab values from guidebook/ready ink and asked to compensate with other inks in grams towards guidebook. So i added Rubine and Process Yellow and...lo and behold from dE 7 to dE 2.5.

Also i asked printing problems with HP Indigo and gave some good advice

  • I use AI to help build customized programs that you can’t easily find through generic searches. The printing industry is broad, and oddly enough industry‑specific tools are hard to come by. If you know a little bit about VBA and Excel, its a life-saver to keep you out of development mode for days, weeks, or months through troubleshooting on your own and building your own scripts.

It can also build local HTML files tailored to your needs. An example: I utilized AI to help build me a viscosity curve calculator and display graphs, targets, and input values. It worked so well, I have it saved for whenever I need to establish new curves with different systems.

AI is a productivity tool. It makes work easier, but it’s not perfect and usually requires a few corrective prompts to get the best results.
