Hi, I am completly new to the printing game, so excuse my ignorance!:p

I have an A3 printer and am printing a job 6up (cards) on a sheet, I am then laminating the sheets using my roll laminator.

After the sheets are all laminated, I use a stanley knife to cut all around the sheets. so Im left with A3 sheets that I can stack together and then put into my guiletine (paper cutter) to cut out the 6 cards I need.

my question is this: Is there an easier way to cut away all the laminate around the sheets other than a stanley knife? as it seem very labour intensive.

the way I am doing it, it feel like I have to be precise when cutting the laminate off, otherwise they wont line up when im stacking them and cutting them with the paper cutter (guiletine) .. am I missing something?

what i do just to be a bit quicker is leave the grip edge unlaminated, so put it in the laminator so it sticks out and then you only need to slice the lay edge, dont worry about the rest, your cutting it off anyway.

I use a 24" 36" or 48" steel or aluminum ruler and a spring hand clamp on the lip of my work table and an Olfa hand rotary to trim straight edges. For contour cutting a Graphtec 24" CE3000 cutter and CoCut Pro with Corel Draw.
