Help with dampening roller setting on Sakurai

I am trying to set correctly the dampening rollers and going crazy trying to understand the manual.

See image posted. Anybody can help with the steps.

Step 8, I cant understand when its says "comes to cylinder gutter".

Step 10, again "cylinder gutter comes to the top".

Cylinder gap would be a better name than gutter.

So it's saying adjust roller to roller, over the cylinder gap, then move it to the top so the damper will drop onto the plate, rather than the gap when setting damper to plate.
