Heidelberg Xl 106 UV coating pumps

Having a real problem with UV coating pumps either slow flow or no flow at all. Pumps have never been used for aq and have been flushed regularly. I've seen in the operation man that there is a rebuild kit for them. Has anyone else had these issues.

 

Check screen inside pump is not blocked make sure all sensors are working

 

Check filters on feed and return, then the ball valves. If that not help you may need to check and replace diaphragms.

 

Thanks, after researching a little through thr operation manual this is a common problem with the pumps so they offer a rebuild kit, apparently the piston goes bad because of the abrasiveness of the uv coating

 

What unit have you got? ART? There may be no point to buy all kit from them but just replace diaphragms. It's really easy job to do.

 

There is no diaphragms in the pumps it's piston drivin not air. I talked with a tech earlier this week he said they have upgraded the pump system or you cam rebuild them. The problem is some of the operator are not flushing the system properly and mixing aq with uv and the result its turning to cottage cheese in the lines

No it's similar to that but the lines go directly into the pump itself and they are green
