Hello everyone.
My printing press (SM74-2 with CPC2000) has two pull-lay motors 1M11 and 1M12, that are not working. Could you please help me identify the cause of the error and how to fix it? I've already checked the mechanical parts and they are not jammed. I also have a spare 1M12 motor, but I don't know how to calibrate it. Please help me, thank you so much!

Hi,
It seems the motor has stuck. It could be a mechanical issue or the motor itself. You need a technician on the machine as there are some basic adjustments once the motor has dismantled.
What about the other motors, pressure and diagonal motors? Do they run?

Good luck

    Thanks for your response.
Only motors 1M11 and 1M12 aren't working, the mechanical OK
I'm a newbie with Heidelberg printing machines. Can you please explain the purpose of the R12 and R12a potentiometers?
    Thank you!

    Dear Lenam,

I do not know your machine, but according your schematic the potentiometers are for some D.S. & O.S. positions adjustment, coarse and fine.

    R11 - Pull lay D.S. Coarse adjustment
    R11a - Pull lay O.S. Fine adjustment
    R12 - Pull lay D.S. Coarse adjustment
    R12a - Pull lay O.S. Fine adjustment

You should locate a common problem (common PSU, common control card,..), because the both motors are not working.

Please do not quote me and others, when you are in one-to-one conversation. All the messages are seen.

    Regards,
    Oleg

Thank you so much! I'm taking the SSK board for inspection and repair. I think that board is faulty.

    Dear Lenam,

According pictures of the SSK board I have found on the internet, the board controls a few motors, and more then just two. It was difficult to assume, the both two power bridges got fault at once.

Before entering into a deep SSK board inspection, I would start from the fault's pre-history analyses, including your activity. Then checking a proper power supplying to the motors/control card, Vcc power supply, cabling, command and feedback signals, and a proper calibration/parameters if any, according to your first message.

I hope someone whould share here an information regarding your error codes and the calibration procedure.

    Regards,
    Oleg
