Heidelberg sm102 "characteristic curves"

Does anyone have any experience setting characteristic curves on a 1998 sm102 with CPC 104 console

 

Are you setting the curves from the plate scanner?

 

Actually not trying to set it yet but two units seem to drop color upon increasing speed. Those two are set differently than the rest. The book is pretty vague on the subject. Hopng someone could explain the setting procedure better.
