Our client has advised that when he is installing the Heidelberg SM 72VP press he has the issue below:

All indicator lights off except unit 1. We have tried troubleshooting by checking the contactors in the main power cabinet. We assume it might be a sensor that is engaged or there might not be any power supply going through to unit 1 due to a broken cable.

Please point us in the right direction if you have come across this issue before.

Thanks

  • Make sure all Anphenol connectors are fully seated (junction boxes under OS catwalks). Examine pins in each cable plug of those Anphenols ai printing unit 1 and 2. It would seem you have a break in control voltage continuity.

Hi sir our machine 72vp have electrical problem when we start machine printing every 20 ,or 30 second after running machine coming off. No any error please help me

    Hi Sir:

Will be great idea, if you test the RECTIFIERTS MODULS!!!!!!

    2) Power converter SLT( normal thyristors ARE FAULTY)!!!!

    3) Regulated Power Supply : NTL 5+ 24 in tolerance....!!!!

Here are a few specific areas I’d recommend checking:

    1. Safety Guard Limit Switches: The SM 72VP has a series-connected safety circuit. If a guard on Unit 1 is open or a limit switch is faulty, it often cuts the power/signal to the subsequent units. Check the switches on the foot guards and delivery unit specifically.
    2. Inter-unit Cabling (The 'Umbilical' Cords): Since the machine is being installed, check the heavy-duty plugs and sockets between Unit 1 and Unit 2. A bent pin or a poorly seated connector here will prevent the 24V DC signal from reaching the rest of the press.
    3. Emergency Stop Loop: Verify if an E-stop button on the following units is stuck or wired incorrectly. On these models, the E-stop circuit usually runs in a loop; if it's broken at Unit 1's exit, everything downstream stays dead.
    4. Galvanic Isolation / Fuse on Unit 1: Check if there is a specific fuse on the Unit 1 distribution board that handles the 'through-power' for the console lights of the remaining units.
Given that it’s a fresh installation, I’d bet on a loose connection or a misaligned safety sensor during reassembly. Hope this helps you narrow it down!"
