Hi I have a Heidelberg sm 102. I was washing the rollers the other day and the press just stopped all of a sudden the display on the press went out and the screen on the console completely froze up. I have shut the press off and on to no avail. My boss has also replaced a couple boards in the console and that didn’t work either. Please help we cannot move the press or raise and lower the delivery or feeder pile hoists. The screen is frozen on this image.

    Hi Alex
It's very difficult to address and define this error remotely. It seems one EAK2 modules has got some problem. You can start with visual check by take them out one by one. But I recommend you to call a technician to diagnose this problem.

Share with us if require further assistance.

    Good luck

Seems that one of 24 volt power supply boards is not getting power

It’s very likely you have a trapped wire or a short circuit in the system—perhaps around the sensor or fan. This would explain the power shutting off on your NTK. I’ve handled many similar issues before, and in these cases, tracing the short circuit is essential. I recommend asking your boss to arrange for a professional to come in and pinpoint the exact problem.

You may have a faulty water level sensor and as you were washing the rollers it shorted.

The level sensors for the wash-up system are connected directly to WashStar, not to the machine. However, the dampening solution level sensors on printing units may be more relevant to this issue.

I think that there is no relation between uour issue and sensors

The error in your init test indicate that the test by loop line at the top and bottom revealed a contact fault at plug x1E, x1A, x2E and x2A also x3E, x3A, x4E and x4A are confused on the EAR rack

Like i told you try to check power supply in tolerance +-0.7.
If it s ok , then check Contact failure perhaps there is an interruption or poor contact at these locations. Problems can be caused by poorly connected cables, bent pins, oxidation, or failure of the connectors themselves.
It could be also the EAR rack confusion perhaps the connections have been mixed up or that the EAR rack has a structural problem, such as a short circuit or grounding problem.
Please confirm to me if this is new installation or you removed the card before ??
Finally Check all the connectors make sure that plugs are firmly connected, without any play or oxidation. Remove and reconnect them to ensure good contact.Examine the cables that connect to these jacks for damage, kinks, or signs of wear. itt may be helpful to check that the rack is secure and that there are no loose connections in the motherboard or rack circuitry.
Please do all that and let me know
    Be welcome
