Heidelberg DI double sheet positioning button mishap

We have had this DI for about 6 years now and never ran across this problem.
The double sheet positioning button will engage when pressed but it will start to feed the sheet and keep going. It will keep feeding sheets one after another without stopping. Also if you go to print anything it will start to feed the sheets and then shut down and not engage impression. The pile height light will flash as if it mis fed or skipped a sheet. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you getting any error codes when any of this happens?

 

No error codes just shows as a mis feed

 

If I were to guess the sheet detector is bad or misaligned. But typically it throws error codes.
