Running a Heidelberg 104CX. U.V. ink. getting alot of horizontal streaks on plate. Scum line is good. Tried new blanket, water high and low, back pressure high and low, tried to integrate. nothing worked. switched to a different unit no problems at all. What are good roller settings for the dampening system. How important is the chrome roller setting? If I tighten the chrome is that Less water to the plate?

    Hi sir
You must first define the type of streaks you have.
it depends in particular on the type of ink, the color tone, the thickness of the ink layer, the adjustment tone of the printing groups, the dampening and inking devices, the printing speed, the quality and of the composition of the wetting liquid, as well as the starting point of the lateral walk.
it is necessary to check all of this and above all to try to work within the standards and following the manufacturer's instructions.
if you want more information we are preparing very rich training concerning the types of streaks, descriptions and methods to avoid sources of systematic error as much as possible
